Barentz Expands Human Nutrition Team

Barentz, a leading distributor of life science ingredients and specialty chemical solutions throughout North America, is excited to welcome Matthew Najm to our expanding Human Nutrition sales team as an Account Manager covering Ontario, Canada.

Matthew brings to Barentz more than 10 years of technical sales experience selling specialty ingredients and additives to the food industry. Most recently, he held a position of Technical Sales Manager with a focus on Human Nutrition, and worked with food manufacturers to develop recipes for un-sweetened beverages & juices, flavored waters, carbonated energy drinks, beers, bakery & sweets, meat & poultry, chocolates – biscuits & wafers, dairy cheeses – yoghurts & milk, mayo-ketchup, instant puddings-drinks-custards-jellies.

Matthew attended the American University of Beirut, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Management, as well as the College des Soeurs du Rosaire, earning a Lebanese Baccalaureate Social and Economic Science.

He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic, has had extensive training in a variety of specific technical food ingredients, and is an expert in flavors and fragrances.
